Event Childcare

Event Childcare provides a safe, fun, and familiar environment where children are cared for by well-trained workers at Fellowship Greenville while parents participate in various ministry small groups and events at no charge to the parent(s).

In order to adequately staff each event, parents must pre-register their child(ren) at least seven days prior to the event deadline. If a child is not registered by the deadline, a spot is not guaranteed for your child. Please contact our Event Childcare team to ask about availability.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Parents can drop off their child(ren), where they will enjoy time with other children their age, all in a safe and fun environment. Each scheduled childcare event will include a lesson and handmade craft, plenty of playground and gym time, food (if preferred), and several activities related to their main lesson.

The following is an example of a typical schedule for Event Childcare (this sample schedule is for children two years and up).

5:30-5:45 PM | Parent drop-off time
5:45-6:15 PM | Lesson and craft time
6:15-6:45 PM | Playground/gym time
6:45-7:15 PM | Lesson activities
7:15-7:30 PM | Play in assigned room

Sickness Policy

Upon the recommendation of the American Academy of Pediatrics, a child showing any of the following symptoms should remain home:

  • Fever, vomiting, diarrhea, runny nose (accompanied by any other symptom), unexplained rash, sore throat, skin infection (boils, ringworm, lice), any symptom of childhood disease (such as scarlet fever, measles, mumps, rubella, active chickenpox or whooping cough), conjunctivitis (pink eye), or other eye infection.

A child must be free of symptoms for a minimum of 24 hours before attending Event Childcare. If a child develops symptoms of illness while in our care, we will contact the parent.

Unable to Attend?

If sickness or another unexpected event is going to prevent your child from attending childcare, please text Rachelle Adams at using the instructions below or via email at radams@fellowshipgreenville.org (even if it’s the same day as your scheduled event). It’s important for us to know how many children to expect to avoid over-staffing and purchasing too much pizza.

Event Childcare FAQs

Childcare is offered on Sunday evenings, Monday evenings, Tuesday mornings, Wednesday mornings, Wednesday evenings, and Thursday mornings while parents participate in various ministry offerings and events at no charge to the parent(s).

Typically, childcare is provided for Women’s Bible studies, Community Groups, Membership Classes, ReGen, ReEngage, and other Care Ministry events.
During open registration (2-3 times a year), you can register your child(ren) for Sunday night childcare directly on the Events page of the church website. For all other events, once you register for the main event, you will receive a link to register your child(ren) for childcare.
All of childcare is in Fellowship Greenville’s preschool building. Enter through door 6 (Building A), turn right to check in, and you’ll be directed to your child’s classroom.
On Sunday evenings, we offer a pizza dinner for children. The cost is $3 per child, which includes two slices of Papa John’s cheese pizza and a juice box. During other weekly childcare, we have Cheerios and Goldfish available for snacks. Parents are encouraged to bring sippy cups/water bottles for their kids. You’re welcome to bring a snack or meal from home provided it is nut-free.
When you arrive, you will check in using your phone number. You will be given a set of stickers for each of your children: a sticker for the child, a sticker for the child’s classroom roster, and a pick-up sticker for you to keep until you pick up your child at the end of the event. If you do not have the pick-up sticker, you will need to see someone at the checkin desk to pick up your child.
Our Care Team offers a FREE night of childcare for single parents, Thrive, and foster families twice a year (summer & winter). See the events page for further details during the summer and winter month
