Event Childcare

Childcare is available for many events offered by our adult ministries. Children are cared for by paid teens and adults, at no charge to the parent(s).

In order to adequately staff each event, parents must pre-register their child(ren) at least seven days prior to the event deadline. If a child is not registered by the deadline, a spot is not guaranteed for your child. Please contact our Event Childcare team to ask about availability.

Upcoming events offering event childcare are listed below. Click an event link to register your child for that event.

Event Childcare Events

Sample Room Schedule

The following is an example of a typical schedule for a Event Childcare group. This sample schedule is for children two years and up:

9:30-9:45 Parent drop-off, playtime in room
9:45-10:15 Lesson and craft time
10:15-10:45 Playground/gym time
10:45-11:15 Movie that goes with lesson
11:15-11:30 Play in room and clean up

Sickness Policy

Upon recommendation of the American Academy of Pediatrics, a child should remain home if showing signs of fever, vomiting, diarrhea, runny nose (accompanied by any other symptom), unexplained rash, sore throat, skin infection, any symptom of childhood disease (such as scarlet fever, measles, mumps, rubella, active chicken pox, or whooping cough), conjunctivitis (pink eye), or other eye infection. A child must be free of symptoms for a minimum of 24 hours before attending Event Childcare. If a child develops symptoms of illness while in our care, we will contact the parent.

We understand there are times when sickness or other unexpected events prevent your child from being able to attend childcare. Please contact the Event Childcare Director, at 234.7033, ext. 1644, to let her know of your cancellation, even if it's the same day of your scheduled event. When your child does not attend, and you do not notify us of a cancellation, it’s challenging for us to determine how many workers are needed.

No-Show Policy

Please note the following policy for those who sign up for childcare, but then decide not to use it without informing the Event Childcare Director.

  • First and second time as a no-show: Postcard will be sent to remind parents to let us know they are not coming.
  • Third time as a no-show: Parent(s) will receive an email as a reminder that their child was registered for childcare, but did not attend. We’ll also provide a heads up that pre-payment for childcare will be required if a fourth no-show occurs.
  • Fourth time as a no-show: Parent(s) will need to pre-pay $10 per child the next time childcare is needed. Checks should be made payable to Fellowship Greenville and given to Director when the child is dropped off.
