If we are not careful, we can think that salvation and relationship with God are to be earned as well. It is easy to get caught in a trap thinking we have to do enough to earn God’s love. The truth is quite the opposite. God’s love and grace are a free gift. The Apostle Paul emphasizes this in the book of Galatians and it is a truth his original readers needed long ago and that we certainly need to hear today.
