PRAYER REQUESTS

"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble". Psalm 46:1

"If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land". 2 Chronicles 7:14

The Prayer Team: If you have a heart for supporting and praying with those who are hurting, we invite you to join our Sunday morning Prayer Teams! To ensure we handle sensitive prayer requests with the utmost care, we ask that all new team members go through the process of becoming Fellowship Greenville Members. If you're interested in serving in this vital ministry, please reach out to Rebecca at rcooke@fellowshipgreenville.org.

GLOBAL NEWS OPPORTUNITY TO PRAY: ETHIOPIA

"Most Christians worship freely and openly. However, believers from other denominations are sometimes pressured by militants among the Ethiopian Orthodox Church, and Christian converts from Islam face violence and even death threats in Muslim-majority areas.

Bibles are printed, sold and distributed in Ethiopia with no restrictions. However, in many rural areas believers can be severely persecuted for owning a Bible.' Via: Voice of the Martyrs

Way to pray: Pray that Christians in Ethiopia will stand firm and proclaim the gospel.

MISSIONARY HIGHLIGHT: COPPINS

Jeff Coppins is the Southeast Regional Director of Development with Back2Back Ministries (B2B) and currently lives in Greenville, South Carolina. Jeff's personal involvement with orphans and vulnerable children began in 2005 when he and his wife Ashley adopted their first child, Haley. Since then, they have adopted three more children: Aidyn, Tyler, and Henry. Jeff and Ashley also started Fellowship Greenville's orphan care ministry, Hope for Children. Through this ministry, they have mentored numerous couples and families through the adoption process.

Way to Pray: Jeff asks that we pray for the B2B team. Specifically for the strengthening and unification of the vision for the foster care program within the technical team and also for incoming national staff as they transition into new roles. Personally, he asks for prayer for his kids as they are in various stages of schooling.

MISSIONARY AND PARTNER UPDATES

  • Please pray for missionary Miriam Wheeler (ABWE Medical Director) as she continues to experience debilitating vertigo.
  • Please pray for Gospel Church Munich (Steffen Mueller) as they prepare for an upcoming church retreat! They are hopeful it will be a refreshing and encouraging time of fellowship.
  • The Mungs (Myanmar) and those around them continue to face difficulties in both ministry and daily life as the government continues to enforce new and tighter restrictions. Please pray for them and their ministry as they navigate this.
  • Iglesia Alumbra, a partner church in Barranquilla, Colombia, asks us to help them pray for a larger place to worship. Please also pray for partners in Domzale, Slovenia, Médard-en-Jalles, France and Potsdam, Germany as they are also feeling the limitations of space!
OPPORTUNITY TO SERVE: RICE BOWLS INITIATIVE

This summer, Missional Impact and FG Kids are partnering with Rice Bowls to feed children around the world! Rice Bowls is a local ministry that partners with children's homes to cover 100% of their delicious, locally sourced meals. They do this by distributing their rice bowl coin banks to individuals and churches who help fill up each coin bank and return them!

If your family did not receive a rice bowl and would like one, stop by the old Faith@Home Center at HWY 14 or Guest Services at Adams Mill to get one. Then, beginning in July, we will collect the filled Rice Bowls all month at the same locations (Faith@Home Center at HWY 14 and table at Adams Mill). Filled a rice bowl and would like to fill another? No problem! Just stop by one of the pick-up/drop-off locations, and you can get a new one to fill!

To learn more about the work of Rice Bowls, visit their website.
