PRAYER REQUESTS

"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble". Psalm 46:1

"If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land". 2 Chronicles 7:14

The Prayer Team: If you have a heart for supporting and praying with those who are hurting, we invite you to join our Sunday morning Prayer Teams! To ensure we handle sensitive prayer requests with the utmost care, we ask that all new team members go through the process of becoming Fellowship Greenville Members. If you're interested in serving in this vital ministry, please reach out to Rebecca at rcooke@fellowshipgreenville.org.

  • Please pray for Debbie Taylor and her family.  Debbie's mother passed away April 25th after a long battle with Alzheimers.
  • James D'Andrea requests prayer for his wife Donna who recently been diagnosed with cancer.
  • Jeff Noll requests prayer.  He will be having cancer surgery at The Mayo Clinic on Friday. Please pray that the surgery is successful in removing all of the cancer and for his speedy recovery.
  • Jean Stoner requests prayer for her husband, Bill, who is in the hospital with pneumonia.
  • Gwen Ishoy requests prayer for her daughter, Jami, who is incarcerated in Anderson.  She has struggled with addiction for several years.  She is in God's hands.  Gwen love her dearly and knows that God loves her more, and He wants to draw her back to him.
  • Kayla Clark asks that the Holy Sprit would "rewire her brain with His truth." She desires to be of "sound mind."  She desires that her children would see Jesus in her and that she would be the mother and wife that God calls her to be.
  • Meredith Walker asks for prayer that she would parent with wisdom and grace.
  • Katie Reynolds requests prayer for a friend's brother who is very ill and not saved.
  • Greg Jackson asks for prayer for his mother, Sharon, who has cancer.
  • Sue Lewis requests prayer for a precious friend of hers who recently found out that she is expecting a baby after a hard journey of miscarriage and infertility.  She is having some complications which the doctors say is not uncommon.  She has asked for our prayers.
  • Dave Abela asks for prayer for his grandson Tristan as he goes on a mission trip and plans for a year of discipleship training.  He asks that God uses these experiences to give him maturity and direction.
GLOBAL NEWS OPPORTUNITY TO PRAY: MAURITANIA

"Mauritania is dominated by Islamist leadership and struggles with poverty and corruption. Located on Africa’s western coast, Mauritania has strong connections and cultural similarities to its North African neighbors. Slavery still exists within tribal groups, with Christians commonly subservient to the majority-Moor people groups. In 2009, an American missionary was killed in Mauritania, and many mission agencies subsequently withdrew their workers from the country. Other indigenous and near-culture leaders have also been killed. Some Christian workers, however, are starting to return. Mauritania has been staunchly Islamic for more than 1,000 years, and the security risks for both national Christians and foreign missionaries remain obstacles to reaching Muslims with the gospel.' Way to pray: Pray for the encouragement and perseverance of Christians who have been harassed and arrested for sharing their faith.

MISSIONARY HIGHLIGHT: CHRISTY

Ed and Sylvia Christy have been working to plant churches in the Bordeaux region of France since 1990 with Baptist Mid-Missions. They have found many opportunities as well as faced great challenges in establishing a strong community of Christ-followers. Their first church plant now has its own French pastor and building. Currently, the Christys are launching a new church in St. Medard-en-Jalles. Ed and Sylvia have two grown children: Grant, who is an accountant in Paris, and Jana, who lives with her husband and children in France.

Way to Pray: Kaylyn will be traveling with a team to Thailand later this summer. Please pray for the unity of this team and for the interactions that they will be having with the Thai people.

OPPORTUNITY: ADOPTIVE & FOSTER FAMILY FAIR

Fellowship Greenville is hosting an upcoming Adoptive & Foster Family Fair on Friday, May 15. OPPORTUNITY TO SERVE: PIEDMONT WOMENS CENTER 5K

Piedmont Women's Center's annual Born to Run 5k is coming up! It will be held at Bob Jones University on May 16th starting at 8am. This is a great opportunity to get outside and support the work of PWC. Fellowship Greenville has 10 free spots that people in our congregation can access by signing up here and using the code: FG10.

If running in the 5k isn't your thing, they are in need of several volunteers! An event like this can't happen without their help! If you are interested in volunteering, please visit this page.
