PRAYER REQUESTS
"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble". Psalm 46:1
"If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land". 2 Chronicles 7:14
The Prayer Team is actively looking for individuals who would like to minister to our congregation by meeting with those who need prayer following the Sunday services. Volunteers are on duty once a month for one service. At this time, we particularly have a need for the following weeks/services: 1st Sunday/2nd Service, and 3rd Sunday/2nd Service. If you are interested in serving with the Prayer Team, please contact Rebecca Cooke at 864-385-3368 or rcooke@fellowshipgreenville.org.
- Shannon Ellis requests prayer. Her husband's position was eliminated on Friday. She asks for prayer as her family processes this change.
- Marissa Price asks, "Please pray that I find a healthy stress coping mechanism as I work through the most stressful time of my life. Please pray that any heart issue brought on by my stress heals itself as I work to relieve this stress.
- Jenny Trump says, "Thank you for your continued prayers for healing for my mother. She had the staples removed from her back surgery last week and she is recovering well. She walked to her mailbox outside for the first time in 3 weeks and is working towards an independent daily walk."
- Dave Abela requests the following, "Pray that this new pain in my abdomen is not a hernia recurrence. I have had 4 surgeries in 7 months."
- There are several more prayer requests for personal and family health needs.
GLOBAL NEWS OPPORTUNITY TO PRAY: BENIN
Benin is a small country bordering western Nigeria. It is the birthplace of voodoo, and Christianity is viewed by many in the north as a threat to their traditional beliefs. Every village and many homes in the north have designated locations for the ritualistic killing of animals (and sometimes humans) in an attempt to appease demonic spirits. Voodoo is an official religion, and Voodoo Day is a public holiday. Witchcraft is deeply ingrained in the local culture and is openly practiced. Christianity is considered a foreign religion that steals a community’s youth and prevents them from being properly initiated into the local tribes. Village chiefs serve as both political leaders and voodooist priests. Via: Voice of the Martyrs
Way to pray: Pray for all who have lost families or homes because of their Christian faith. Pray for greater access to Bibles, especially in rural areas.
MISSIONARY HIGHLIGHT: NAVARRO

When she was younger, Pao's grandmother first took her to church and ever since then, she has been very involved in the body of Christ. When she was 19 years old, Pao began volunteering as a translator for e3 Partners Ministry. It was through one of these trips that she truly came to understand her need for a personal relationship with God. After that, she continued translating for different missionary campaigns around Colombia. It was through these e3 trips that she met FG elder Craig O'Neal, who then later connected Pao to FG.
Pao has a background in Digital Marketing and saw firsthand the benefits of this, but also the dangers. God placed it in her heart to speak to teenagers about the danger of social media for their identity. Depression and suicide among young people have increased since they all had access to screens, and she knew that Christ was their only true salvation. She started a ministry where she works with adolescents and their parents to explain the dangers of social media and she also disciples them in the knowledge that God is their only true salvation. Pao is also on staff at her church, Iglesia Alumbra, and works with the teens there, helps with counseling needs, and more. She is a huge asset to their team there!
Way to Pray: Please pray for Pao's mother to come to a true understanding of who Jesus is and what He's done for her. Please pray as Pao interacts with teenagers around Colombia that they will have their eyes opened to Jesus's love for them.
OPPORTUNITY: BASIC NEEDS DRIVE: PIEDMONT WOMENS CENTER
Piedmont Women’s Center is committed to demonstrating the love of Christ to those facing pregnancy-related needs. They serve women, men, and their unborn babies by providing physical care and personal guidance that many of them cannot find elsewhere.
This Sunday, we have the opportunity to bless their ministry and the mothers and babies they serve by donating the following items that PWC has requested:
- Baby socks
- Sleepers
- Bath towels
- Washcloths
- Receiving blankets
- Pacifiers
These items can be dropped off in the collection bins located at both our Hwy 14 and Adams Mill campuses.
MISSIONARY AND PARTNER UPDATES
- We praise God that one of our missionaries in Turkey recently accomplished a major goal which will allow her to continue her ministry in a new direction. Please pray for guidance as she figures out next steps.
- Please pray that God gives our partner, World Relief, wisdom and discernment as they minister to a population of refugees and immigrants who are very fearful right now.
- Please pray for Kaylyn Brown (Athletes in Action) and her husband Tim as they support Tim's father through a cancer diagnosis and treatment.
- Iglesia Alumbra, a partner church in Barranquilla, Colombia, asks us to help them pray for a larger place to worship. Please also pray for partners in Domzale, Slovenia, Médard-en-Jalles, France and Potsdam, Germany as they are also feeling the limitations of space!
OPPORTUNITY TO SERVE: FAMILIES COUNT
This spring, Fellowship Greenville is hosting Lifeline's Families Count (faith-based) parenting classes. These are classes that have been approved by DSS and the court system for parents who have lost custody of their children. Often, taking parenting classes is a requirement of the court for parents to regain custody of their children.
We have two big needs that people can volunteer to serve in.
- The first is volunteering to be a mentor for one of the individuals who will be taking the parenting class.
- The second is volunteering to make a meal for 20-25 people the night of one of these classes (meals will need to be dropped off at Fellowship Greenville in Room 200 at 5:15 each evening).
You can register here.
The dates of the class are as follows: March 24, March 31, April 7, April 14, April 21, April 28, and May 5.
