PRAYER REQUESTS
"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble". Psalm 46:1
"If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land". 2 Chronicles 7:14
The Prayer Team is actively looking for individuals who would like to minister to our congregation by meeting with those who need prayer following the Sunday services. Volunteers are on duty once a month for one service. At this time, we particularly have a need for the following weeks/services: 1st Sunday/2nd Service, and 3rd Sunday/2nd Service. If you are interested in serving with the Prayer Team, please contact Liana Grace at 864-385-3368 or lgrace@fellowshipgreenville.org.
Please pray for these other requests:
- Elaine Gilliard went to be with her Lord and Savior last week. Please join us in prayer for Ben Gilliard and his family during this time.
- Please pray for Marty and Vanessa Hines. Marty's mom, Judith Ann Hines, went to be with Jesus on Saturday, October 4.
- Please pray for the family of Clair Harmon, whose cousin passed away last week.
- Kathy Staffer asks for prayer for healing for her daughter, who is having some pain.
- Kelly Wylie Koutsioukis asks for prayer for a friend with a recent cancer diagnosis and is very fearful.
- Kathryn Wood would like prayer for her grandfather, who has been diagnosed with cancer and only has a few months to live. Please pray for her family and for him during these last few months.
GLOBAL NEWS OPPORTUNITY TO PRAY: ERITREA
"Front-line workers report that arrests of Christians in Eritrea have increased in 2025 with very few releases of current prisoners. Since Jan. 1, 2025, there have been over 200 new arrests, putting the total number of Christian prisoners in the country around 550. This is the highest it has been in over five years. The conditions inside these “prisons” are some of the harshest in the world as Christian prisoners are provided meager rations and held in shipping containers in extreme desert conditions for years." Via: Voice of the Martyrs
Way to pray: Pray for God’s peace to be with Christian prisoners in Eritrea and with their families, and pray for their release.
MISSIONARY HIGHLIGHT: MACURA

Goran and Metka serve as church-planters in Slovenia. Goran heard the Gospel for the first time clearly while in a Rehab Center in Croatia. The acceptance and embrace from our Heavenly Father was exactly what Goran needed to turn his life around. Upon Goran's return to Slovenia, he met Metka who served with Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF), and they were soon married. Goran has been transformed by the Gospel, and he and Metka are now planting gospel seeds in Domzale, a city of 12,000 people and no evangelical church. This past year, Goran completed an Acts 29 CiHP Apprenticeship. This was training specific to planting churches in hard places.
Goran currently partners with ECM International while Metka continues working with CEF. He and Metka have planted a church in their city of Domzale. Their congregation is growing and they have had various opportunities to minister to those in their community. Goran and Metka have two children, Timeja and Jošija.
Way to Pray: Pray that God will open the ears and hearts of people around Goran and Metka so that they will be ready to receive the gospel message. Pray that God will grant Goran wisdom to know how to be a good father and husband. Pray for Goran and Metka as they continue to grow the church plant in Domzale and have new people join them. Pray that they will be a church who makes disciples who will grow in Jesus' love and from that become good Christian leaders. Finally, pray for them as they are finishing up a well-deserved sabbatical.
OPPORTUNITY: 2026 SHORT-TERM TRIPS
We’ve developed partnerships with many well-established ministries to join them in what they’re already doing to advance the gospel in other parts of the world. Each year we send a growing number of short-term mission teams to serve alongside these partners. These trips have focuses in orphan care, community development, evangelism, and more!
If you would like to learn more about the trips we offer, be sure to stop by the table in the commons at both our HWY 14 and Adam's Mill locations on Sunday, November 2. A member of our team would be happy to answer any questions you have about these trips! You can check out our trips here.
MISSIONARY AND PARTNER UPDATES
- Pray for Jaz Mackey (Thailand) and her team as they recently lost a teammate to cancer. Please also pray for another of Jaz's friends in the ministry who has also been diagnosed with cancer.
- Pray for Horizons International (Lebanon) as they prepare to open a new school campus in North Lebanon. They already have 50 children enrolled who are mostly Alawite refugees with Muslim backgrounds from Syria.
- Please pray for the Sheppards (Liberia) who have experienced hardships since being home in Liberia. Please pray for them to continue to look to God through these situations.
- Please pray for our missionary Juliet and her husband John (Kenya) as they have recently welcomed their baby girl.
- Please pray for Miriam Wheeler (ABWE) as she has been experiencing bad vertigo recently. She has an upcoming appointment scheduled to figure out next steps.
- Iglesia Alumbra, a partner church in Barranquilla, Colombia, asks us to help them pray for a larger place to worship. Please also pray for partners in Domzale, Slovenia, Médard-en-Jalles, France and Potsdam, Germany as they are also feeling the limitations of space!
OPPORTUNITY TO SERVE: OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD
Every year, Operation Christmas Child delivers shoeboxes packed for children in need around the world. Our church has the opportunity to partner with Operation Christmas Child this fall as a way to live Life on Mission by packing shoeboxes.
