Next Gen AVL Specialist

Main Objective: Provides technical production and AVL support for the Next Gen (NG) ministries, including FG Kids, FG Students, and Family Ministries. This includes executing technical elements for services and events, leading and training volunteers, preparing AVL systems, overseeing maintenance, and developing stage designs. The position requires experience with audio, video, and lighting systems, Mac operating systems, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.

Job Description:
  • Oversee the execution of all technical production elements for Next Gen worship services and ministry events
  • Schedule, equip, train, and encourage a team of volunteers to execute Next Gen worship services.
  • Prepare all Next Gen worship spaces for Sunday services, including but not limited to audio, lighting, and video needs.
  • Oversee maintenance and documentation, and assist with installations of AVL systems across Next Gen rooms and systems.
  • Develop, create, and implement stage set designs for Next Gen rooms. 
  • Communicate with the Next Gen team in preparation for Sunday services.
  • Prepare and support evening events, primarily on Monday and Wednesday nights.
  • Work as a team member within the AVL department.
  • Other functions or duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Critical Skills: Experience with Audio, Video, and Lighting systems in a live environment. Familiarity with Mac Operating Systems to work with production-specific software. Attention to detail regarding the care of equipment and the consistency of maintenance. Ability to communicate well in written form for documentation, clarification, and training purposes. Must possess mobility to work in a stage environment, including the ability to walk up and down a ladder and stairs, and be able to lift up to 70 pounds. Other physical demands include the ability to read printed material and a computer screen as well as good close and color vision, good hearing and speech to communicate in person, dexterity, and the ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects and controls.

Job Status: Full-time, 40+/week Sunday-Thursday with nights and weekends
