Missions Director
The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 8 years in missions or cross-cultural ministry, a heart for reaching the world with the Gospel, and the skills to network and mobilize God's people.
Main Objective: To strategically implement a robust missions culture at Fellowship Greenville (FG) in step with the Gospel Expansion (GE) Team by partnering with local, domestic, and international missions organizations and FG missionaries to mobilize the FG church family in a way that models God’s heart for the world and our backyard.
Job Description:
Partnerships
- Vet potential missional impact partners/missionaries in alignment with partner and missions philosophy.
- Build & maintain relationships with current and potential ministry partners.
- Guide re-evaluation process for ministry partners as needed.
- Collaborate with Missions Care Director to meet the needs of partners and missionaries.
- Visit ministry partners in the field as deemed necessary by the GE Team.
- Respond to partner requests.
Engagement
- Recruit and oversee the cross-departmental engagement of Missions partners.
- Identify, train, deploy, empower, and encourage missions volunteers to lead key ministry initiatives, trips, etc.
- Propose, plan, and oversee short-term mission trips, trainings, prayer times, send offs.
- Develop/lead Missions Committee to hold accountable FG missions philosophy, funding, and partnerships.
- Execute a strategy to mobilize future missionaries to be sent out from FG.
Awareness
- Implement and manage the strategy for communicating opportunities to engage and impact through current and new FG channels.
- Oversee Missional Impact promotions, including EOM videos, social media strategy, etc.
Equipping
- Routinely collaborate with Discipleship Ministry Areas to carry the missions mantle to their areas of influence.
- Occasionally, as a part of Gospel Expansion Strategy, hold equipping classes to educate the FG church family in Great Commandment, Great Concern, and Great Commission.
- Coach/teach as opportunities arise with our next gen (interns, OneLifeX students, etc).
Other
- Propose and manage Missions budget, providing stewardship of generosity of FG.
- Involved in FG Disciple, FG Lead, and UCC efforts in multiplication.
- Maintain processes and ensure completion of purchase orders.
- Other functions or duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job Status: Full-time, 40+ hours/week with occasional nights, weekends, and travel
