DeVaney : Kaylyn

Kaylyn has loved sports, specifically softball, for as long as she can remember. Growing up she loved the experiences she was able to have with the sport. During her college years, she loved the opportunity to use softball as a platform to bring people together from all different backgrounds to enjoy this great sport. Through several trips to the Middle East, she had the opportunity to see softball redeemed in her own life, while also building relationships and breaking down language barriers in a way that provided opportunities to share the Gospel.

Recently, Kaylyn has been serving as the assistant softball coach at Columbia International University where she began to experience a need for more softball outreach within the sport on various platforms. She will now be serving with Athletes in Action as their Softball Director where she has been tasked with launching a softball ministry: locally (in Xenia, OH), nationally, and internationally. AIA Softball gives me the opportunity to bridge her passion of leadership, softball, freedom in Christ, and worship into one sphere of introducing athletes and coaches to Christ while empowering them to make disciples through their sport.

Prayer Requests: For a smooth transition moving to Xenia, OH, and beginning in this new role with AIA. That she would find a church to call home and a community to get plugged into. For ministry opportunities locally to begin investing in the southern Ohio softball community.
