REFLECT

When my husband surprised me and proposed, he pulled out a diamond ring he had been holding close to him. I didn’t know it, but he was guarding that ring with his life until he could put it on my finger. He kept it with expectation while he waited. In this advent season, in the midst of distraction, let’s keep our eyes on the love of God, which He proved in his coming for us. Let’s hold this beautiful truth close while we wait in expectation for him.

Dear Heavenly Father, we thank you for the brilliant truth of your love for us. While we wait for you, help us to keep ourselves guarded and protected in your love. Turn our hearts and eyes to the truth of how beautiful your love is, so that as we wait in expectation, we are full of peace, trusting you.
