“The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.” 2 Peter 3:9 (ESV)

REFLECT

Because of His unending love for us all, God desires for us all to be saved and be reconciled to Him. God does not want any of us to be destroyed. He is willing to wait, to play the long game. He is long-suffering for our sake. He shows us His love for us in His delayed return. Every day given is another opportunity for someone to come to Him - to know Him, experience His love, repent, and follow Him.

RESPOND

Thank Him for each new day, and the opportunities it holds. Ask Him to give you His eyes, His heart, and His love for the lost. Pray for one person by name throughout this holiday season to come to know the Lord. And ask Him for an opportunity to share the gospel with them.
