The Prayer Team is actively looking for individuals who would like to minister to our congregation by meeting with those who need prayer following the Sunday services. Volunteers are on duty once a month for one service. At this time, we particularly have a need for the following weeks/services: 1st Sunday/2nd Service, and 3rd Sunday/2nd Service. If you are interested in serving with the Prayer Team, please contact Liana Grace at 864-385-3368 or lgrace@fellowshipgreenville.org.

"Before the founding of Islam in the seventh century and the subsequent invasion by Arab Muslims, Algeria was inhabited by the Berber people. Today, they live mainly in Algeria’s mountainous Kabylie area in the north, while Arabs inhabit the rest of the country. The Christian faith has a long history in North Africa, especially among ethnic Berbers. The early church father Augustine of Hippo is thought to have been a Berber from Algeria. After centuries of oppressive Muslim occupation, public Christian worship and witness have largely disappeared, but many Berbers are now rediscovering their Christian heritage. Churches have seen rapid growth, and Algeria has experienced one of the world’s largest movements of Muslims coming to faith in Christ. Algerian Christians are reaching out boldly to their Muslim countrymen, causing increased persecution in an uncertain political climate." Via: Voice of the Martyrs
Way to pray: Pray that Christians whose churches have been closed by authorities will find ways to meet. Pray that Christians whose churches have been closed by authorities will reach out to their neighbors despite the risks.
Juliet Githua is a missionary serving the Lord in Kenya, East Africa. Juliet is a graduate of the University of Nairobi, she has a bachelor’s degree with a major in Psychology and a minor in Sociology.
She became a born-again believer in her final year of university (2018). As she grew in her walk with God, she received a call to unreached people groups, especially the youth. Her desire is to spread the gospel and transform lives. Currently, she is working with World Mission Centre (WMC) as a frontier missionary to different Kenyan communities.
A degree in Psychology has allowed Juliet to work with high school students. Her main focus is working with the Christian students in the predominantly Muslim Schools, training them for missions work among tribal people by using the Live School Curriculum—a Missions and Leadership training curriculum that was designed by WMC.
In December 2023, Juliet married John who is a teacher by profession. He serves as a teacher in a Muslim-dominated girl's high school. He is also passionate about reaching out and discipling Muslims, especially the youth. Juliet and John are expecting their first baby in the fall of 2025!
Way to Pray: Pray for safety and the fruit of those they disciple! Please also pray for them as they build relationships with their neighbors and the community around them. Finally, please pray for Juliet and John as they are expecting a baby this fall!
Fellowship Greenville and Miracle Hill are partnering to offer Lifeline's Families Count (faith-based) parenting classes. These are classes that have been approved by DSS and the court system for parents who have lost custody of their children. Often, taking parenting classes is a requirement of the court for parents to regain custody of their children.
We have two big needs that people can volunteer to serve in. You can click the "Register" button to sign up for one of these opportunities.
- The first is volunteering to be a mentor for one of the individuals who will be taking the parenting class.
- The second is volunteering to make a meal for 18 people the night of one of these classes (meals will need to be dropped off at the Miracle Hill Family Ministry Center at 5:15 each evening).
The dates of the class are as follows: September 16, September 23, September 30, October 7, October 14, October 21 and October 28. You can register here.
