The Word Became Flesh

Jim Thompson - 11/26/2023

SERMON SCREENSHOTS & KEY POINTS

What makes the incarnation of Jesus so powerful and personal?

  • “The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it” (1:5)
  • “The Word became flesh and dwelt among us” (1:14)

The incarnation of Jesus is both powerful and personal because he knows us completely and loves us completely, and this is only possible because he is fully God and fully man.

How should we respond to this? We should believe (1:7, 1:12).

*We are a church located in Greenville, South Carolina. Our vision is to see God transform us into a community of grace passionately pursuing life and mission with Jesus.
