SERMON SUMMARY

What we celebrate on this day, the resurrection of Jesus Christ is not simply something to be amazed by… although it is amazing… it is meant to alter and re-arrange and shape and define and anchor your life. It does actually change everything—how we walk through the here and now and all eternity. And that has been the story experienced by person after person who weren’t simply amazed by a resurrected Jesus, but put their faith in Him and followed Him. We even see that with those that Jesus first interacted with after walking out of that tomb. As we think of our current cultural moment, there are plenty of people who are amazed at Jesus and yet not being changed by Jesus. It is only Jesus who, through the power of the resurrection, because of what we are here celebrating today can save us, change us, and transform us.
