Enjoying God

Matt Rexford - 1/2/2022

SCRIPTURE: Mark 12:28-31

Preaching is primarily a proclamation of God’s truth and it is to be an interaction with God’s Spirit through his Word. While note-taking can be effective to help us stay engaged and remember things later, there also may be a side to it that puts us into lecture mode and treats the message as primarily education and transmission of knowledge. We want you to be attentive during the sermons when the Holy Spirit is speaking to you and pressing a point into you. In order to do so, we will not be providing sermon notes for this series. Throughout this seven-week series, write down moments where you are moved or feel a prompt from the Spirit.

*We are a church located in Greenville, South Carolina. Our vision is to see God transform us into a community of grace passionately pursuing life and mission with Jesus.

  • How have you enjoyed God as you have pursued Him since our last time together?
  • What have you read in His Word and how have you allowed that to take root in your life this past week?
  • What has God told you and shown you about Himself as you have talked with Him this past week?
  • How has His grace been a big deal to you this week?
  • What was the biggest obstacle to pursuing God this week?
  • Do you have a plan for enjoying Him and hearing from Him?
  • Which one of God’s gifts in this world has caused you to enjoy the Giver?
