When we meet people in their place of need, we believe it points them to Jesus and the life he offers. We have a great opportunity to do this in our local community by participating in Hope Challenge this October.  This is a chance for our church to be the hands and feet of Jesus by making an unforgettable difference in the lives of people in the Upstate.

Will you join us in becoming Daniel-like influencers this October? And feel free to include your family, friends, or community group.

Here are ways you can be involved throughout the four WEEKS of HOPE CHALLENGE:

WEEK 1:  Support Piedmont Women's Center in caring for pregnant women and their unborn children in the Upstate. There are two ways to be involved:

  • Participate in the October 5 Piedmont Women's Center 5k. Register for the race below using the code FG5OFF in the promo area on the check-out page.
  • Participate in the October 6 Baby Bottle Boomerang. Pick up a Hope Challenge packet at church and fill the baby bottle with coins or cash and return 10/6.

WEEK 2: Support Harvest Hope who feeds the hungry in our area through an October 13 Harvest HOPE food collection

  • Fill a grocery bag with the following and return it to the church Sunday, Oct 13: Canned veggies, canned meat, canned fish, canned soup/chili, instant potatoes, instant rice cups/meals, boxed meals, beans, rice, pasta, peanut butter, canned/bulk nuts, whole-grain cereal, instant milk, baby diapers/wipes, baby formula/food. Pop-top cans are a plus.

WEEK 3: On Sunday, Oct 20, use the bag included in your Hope Challenge kit to donate warm winter clothes to Miracle Hill, who offers food, shelter, clothing, discipleship, and counseling to adults and children in need in the Upstate.

  • You can donate the following items. scarves, gloves, socks, new underwear, and pants (winter wear).

WEEK 4: Take a look at our missionary prayer request card from your Hope Challenge kit and commit to praying for the missionaries Fellowship Greenville helps support by completing the info on the back of your giving envelope. And If God leads you to support them monetarily, drop your giving envelope in the EOM offering plate at the door as you leave.
